Principal functions of the Transistor

With everything saying so far we already have a general idea of the functioning of this device. Now we have to see why it serves, that is the target of this electronic study. Next we will put a list of functions of transistors, and then we will see one of them thoroughly, which is considered of major importance in this field.

Functions or types:
- Amplifiers.
- Switches or relays.
- Unipolares (JFET and MOSFET), are used in integrated circuits.
- Darlington

The type or function of the transistor that we are going to emphasize (for the time being) will be like an amplifier, it is necessary to clarify that it is that thing about to amplify in electronics, for which we will define it. We might say that amplifying is to increase a magnitude, and that amplification is, therefore, the process of increasing the intensity of a sign. An amplifier is a device in which a current dweeb produced by a source provokes a strong current in another source.
An amplification is a magnitude increase and not, an energy increase; that is to say, it is not that of an amplifier it goes out more than it enters and therefore there is a creation of anything; what happens is that it goes out enlarged, that is to say, amplified. For major clarity let's happen to define well what is defined by 'increase of magnitude'. If we divide the current, the tension or the exit potency for the corresponding value of entry we will have left a result that is what is called 'a profit' of the amplifier in electronic terms. A potency of exit of, for example, 1 W that results from a potency of entry of 1 mW will mean a profit of the 1000 W amplifier (1/0,001 = 1000).
