Variety of Tiristores

The tiristores can split in tiristores of control and tiristores of potency as it happens with the transistors.
Also it is possible to distinguish for his structure, since they can to be made of the type PNPN or also NPNP. In case of his structure it is convenient to clarify that so much in the case PNPN as NPNP the plate is always fixed to a crystal P and the cathode to the crystal N, but the government electrode is positive in the first case and negative in the second one. The tiristores with the government electrode in P, as they are those that we have studied till now, are the most current; but those who take the government electrode in N receive the name of complementary, in two varientes more normally used.
